Churchill Retirement Living has called upon locals to name its new retirement development in Tenterden, where construction is due to commence soon.

Churchill has launched the competition inviting local residents to come up with a name for the new development of 53 one- and two-bedroom apartments. The competition closing date is 30 September, with the winner receiving £100 and the winning name appearing on the development itself, as well as all branding, sales and marketing materials.

The privately-owned apartments will provide an attractive and high-quality space for buyers that looks out to stunning countryside views. Not only do the homes come with a 10-year warranty guarantee, but they also come with the added benefits of a fully integrated kitchen, landscaped garden, free parking, a lodge manager and a communal owners lounge with a coffee bar.

The Tenterden development is perfectly located directly opposite an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with plenty of idyllic walking routes available for those looking to live an active lifestyle. Not far is Tenterden’s tree-lined high street filled with shops, boutiques and antiques stores, alongside a post office, doctors and pharmacy and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants to enjoy.

The local area offers lots to do for residents with the Chapel Down local vineyard close by, the award-winning Chart Hills golf course only a 20-minute drive away and National Trust Smallhythe Place that is home to a local museum and theatre. For those who like to travel, the Kent and East Sussex railway line is close by to the apartments with routes to neighbouring towns.

Anne Scherrer, Regional Marketing Manager at Churchill Retirement Living, comments: “The new apartment development in Tenterden offers the perfect space for those looking for a home with community feel. We’re excited to hear all the name suggestions and pick a name for the site. Anyone interested in finding out more about what the new development will offer can register their interest now for updates and be among the first to find out when the apartments will be released for sale.”

To enter the naming competition, please send your suggested name and the reason for it along with your name, address and phone number to: Freepost, CHURCHILL RETIREMENT LIVING, TENTERDEN NAMING COMPETITION or by email to anne.scherrer@crl.co.uk by 30 September 2022 (and keep in mind that Churchill Retirement Living development names always end in ‘Lodge’). If more than one person suggests the winning name, the winner will be randomly selected. The chosen name is subject to approval by the Local Authority.
