Sally Field is delighted to see her dad Keith enjoying a new lease of life in his apartment at Churchill’s Albert Lodge development on Ock Street, where he moved recently to enjoy a low maintenance, independent lifestyle.
She says: “Dad loves the fact he is on one floor, living independently but with the choice to mix with the other Owners if he wishes. It’s modern and well insulated, and having the Careline system is very reassuring, knowing that he can press a button and someone will answer if he ever needs it.”
“He likes the location and the feeling of safety within the building, and he loves the fact that there’s a Lodge Manager to contact if he ever has any problems. There’s a great community spirit here, he’s making lots of new friends and Churchill put on lots of interesting events which are always great. You can choose to join in with lots of things, even just going downstairs for a cuppa or to help with a jigsaw puzzle.
“There’s a garden for him to sit in and enjoy without having to do any work, and all the communal areas are well maintained. Even the indoor refuse store is great, so he never has to take the bins out!”
