Churchill Retirement Living’s Betjeman Lodge in Ludlow held a successful coffee morning event to raise over £600 for the League of Friends for Ludlow Community Hospital.
Over 70 Owners, friends and visitors attended the event on Wednesday 5th December in the welcoming Owners’ Lounge at Churchill’s new development on Corve Street.
Sue Garrett, a volunteer for Ludlow League of Friends, said:
We had a fantastic charity coffee morning at Betjeman Lodge and raised a record amount of over £600 for the League of Friends. There was a huge attendance in spite of appalling weather, so I would like to say a big thank you to the Churchill team for all their help setting it up. We are already planning a possible future event which could take place outdoors in the Lodge’s communal gardens next summer!
Bernadette Hennelly, Churchill’s Regional Marketing Manager, added: “We were delighted to host this event to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause which directly benefits the local community. Every penny counts, which is why we were pleased to see so many people come along to dig deep and support the event. It was also an ideal opportunity for visitors to see our brand new development and the beautiful apartments and sociable lifestyle on offer here.”
