Chippenham Owners make a fashion statement at St Andrew’s Lodge welcome party

Apartment Owners at Churchill Retirement Living’s St Andrew’s Lodge in Chippenham held a special event on Friday 18th August to welcome new members of the community and make a fashion statement to demonstrate how they still feel ‘young at heart’.

Everyone got together in the Lodge’s comfy Owners’ Lounge and communal gardens for cakes and refreshments to celebrate the newest arrivals who have recently moved into their new apartments. The fun-loving and youthful sense of community spirit on offer was perfectly displayed by a group of Owners who wore matching t-shirts with the slogan: ‘It’s weird being the same age as old people!’

The idea was inspired by Jeff Dent, who was the first apartment Owner to wear one of these amusing t-shirts and found it struck a chord with his neighbours, who are all enjoying their new hassle free lifestyle and feeling far from ‘old’.

Phil Redeyoff is another to have embraced this point of view along with his wife Viv. He says: “Our move into St Andrews Lodge has proved to be one of our best ever decisions and totally without regret.  Our quality of life, security and wellbeing has been greatly enhanced by the friendly social interaction with the other Owners.”

Lodge Manager Rachel Gilmore adds: “It was great to welcome our new apartment Owners and see everyone enjoying themselves with this very appropriate fashion statement. Fun events like this are what the retirement living lifestyle is all about here at St Andrew’s Lodge, where our Owners can enjoy comfort, security, independence and fewer maintenance worries, plus the option to socialise as much or as little as they like. It’s no wonder the apartments are selling fast!”

Situated in the charming Wiltshire market town of Chippenham, St Andrews Lodge is a beautiful collection of 46 one- and two-bedroom apartments with private parking.
