Churchill Retirement Living<\/a> has been granted planning permission, subject to signing a s106, to build 38 brand new independent living retirement apartments in Cranleigh<\/a>. Regenerating land and vacant service buildings to the rear of the former Mann\u2019s Department Store on Victoria Road, the new development will bring a thriving new community to the heart of Cranleigh, contributing over \u00a3295k a year to the local economy and supporting around 71 jobs both during and after construction.<\/span><\/p>

The new development will provide attractive, high quality, secure and self-contained accommodation in landscaped grounds. As with all Churchill Retirement Living developments, Owners will enjoy independent living and a sense of community, with a communal Owners\u2019 Lounge, a Guest Suite, a Lodge Manager, and a 24 hour emergency call alarm service.<\/span><\/p>

The plans will help to ensure that the historical shop units and coffee shop fronting the High Street will be retained and used in the future for new high street shops and services. The design has been carefully produced to ensure it will make a positive contribution to the character and appearance of the area, relating sensitively to the adjacent buildings and the Cranleigh Conservation Area.<\/span><\/p>
