Owners at New Pooles Lodge<\/a> in the Bristol suburb of Fishponds got into the festive spirit in December with a Christmas facemask competition and various other activities to bring the community together, even though many could not leave their apartments.<\/p>

There was an impressive array of decorated masks, and all was done in a safe and socially distanced way, since the development\u2019s communal areas remain closed with a range of measures in place to keep everyone safe.<\/p>

Apartment Owner Barbara was declared one of the lucky winners, and she enjoyed her prize of a bottle of wine and chocolates. Her \u2018holly and ivy\u2019 creation may have not have been the most practical, but it was very decorative and a lot of fun!<\/p>

As well as the festive facemasks, two apartment Owners have been spending their time in lockdown knitting woollen \u2018trauma bears\u2019 and multi-coloured \u2018NHS octopuses\u2019 to be donated to the local children\u2019s hospital.<\/p>

The Owners also took part in a competition to guess the weight of the Christmas turkey, proving that the sense of community spirit and companionship is alive and well at the Lodge, despite the strict ban on socialising that must remain in place for the time being.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
