It will be a joy to those in your care and to their families too.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>HBF cited examples of the help retirement housebuilders have given during the crisis, including Churchill Retirement Living\u2019s new partnership with a national wholesaler to establish a delivery service to its self-isolating residents. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>On the Care Minister\u2019s letter, John Slaughter, chair of HBF\u2019s Retirement Home Builders Group, said:\u00a0\u201cThis is a much appreciated recognition of the important part that the managers and all other staff involved in running retirement housing developments are playing in enabling potentially vulnerable older people to manage the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>HBF also pointed to recent research from Homes for Later Living, revealing that those living in retirement communities often experienced reduced health risks, contributing to\u00a0fiscal savings to the NHS and social care services of around \u00a33,500 per person per year.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The HBF and retirement housebuilders including Churchill have welcomed a letter from Care Minister Helen Whately which praises the support retirement developer staff are giving to residents during the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[224],"tags":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.4 -
