Churchill Retirement Living<\/a> has welcomed its first Owners at Oscar Lodge in Aylesbury, where a thriving community is starting to take shape. The age exclusive development on Cambridge Street has seen the first wave of Owners move into their brand new one and two bedroom apartments.<\/p>\n

Among them are Anthony and Wendy Brittain, who moved with family in mind. \u201cWe relocated to be near our daughter and her family,\u201d says Wendy. \u201cWe\u2019d been pondering a move for a few years but it was our daughter who made it happen when she saw Oscar Lodge being built. She\u2019s pleased to have us nearby, and we\u2019re pleased to have made the move now, while we can make the most of it. It couldn\u2019t be better!\u201d<\/p>\n

Anthony adds: \u201cThere are plenty of opportunities to socialise and keep ourselves busy. We do tai chi on Mondays, we have film nights in the Owners\u2019 Lounge, and afternoons on the roof terrace when the weather\u2019s nice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kathleen Forrow is another who enjoys the social life at the Lodge. \u201cWe love it here,\u201d she says. \u201cWe have nice get-togethers in the Owners\u2019 Lounge all the time \u2013 including for my birthday recently. It\u2019s the perfect space to host a party and a great way to entertain and get to know each other. Jackie our Lodge Manager is good at thinking up ways for us to meet up and have fun together.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve never once thought \u2018Did I do the right thing moving here?\u2019 It\u2019s wonderful, everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and we\u2019re free to do what we enjoy. And I\u2019m pleased to say my little dog Jane likes it here too!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For Chrissy Saunders life at Oscar Lodge feels like a holiday. \u201cI was the very first to move in,\u201d she says. \u201cI was here for three days and then the rest of my new neighbours all started to join me. It\u2019s great! I\u2019ve been here two months and I still feel like I\u2019m on holiday.\u201d<\/p>\n
