Churchill Retirement Living<\/a>\u2019s new development on Roper Street in the heart of Penrith has been named Dutton Lodge<\/strong>, in a nod to the street\u2019s heritage and the Duttons Brewery that formerly stood there.<\/p>\n

Roper Street\u2019s largest brewery was originally founded by Glasson\u2019s as the Union Court Brewery in 1857. A hundred years later it was taken over by Dutton\u2019s Blackburn Brewery, and was known as Dutton\u2019s until it became one of the last of Penrith\u2019s brewery buildings to be demolished in the 1980s.<\/p>\n

Construction is now under way to revitalise the street with a block of 54 brand new privately-owned retirement apartments, which once completed will provide attractive, high quality, secure accommodation in landscaped grounds. As with all Churchill Retirement Living developments, Owners will enjoy independent living with the benefits of a communal Owners\u2019 Lounge, a Guest Suite, a Lodge Manager, and a 24 hour emergency call alarm service.<\/p>\n
