After a successful planning appeal, Churchill Retirement Living has been granted planning permission to build 27 brand new retirement apartments at a site on Station Road<\/a>, near the heart of Orpington.<\/p>

Planning Inspector John Dowsett found that the development would not cause harm to highway safety in the vicinity of the site, and that Churchill\u2019s provision of \u00a387,615 towards affordable housing in the local area was appropriate.<\/p>

The new privately-owned apartments will provide attractive, high quality, secure, self-contained accommodation in landscaped grounds, perfectly located for the shops and amenities of the town centre, and close to public transport links. As with all Churchill Retirement Living developments, Owners will have the benefits of a communal Owners\u2019 Lounge, a Guest Suite, a Lodge Manager, and a 24 hour emergency call alarm service.<\/p>

With less to worry about, Owners will have more time to do the things they enjoy, such as having family or friends to stay in the development\u2019s well-appointed Guest Suite, enjoying a chat with neighbours, or attending one of the regular social events in the comfortable Owners\u2019 Lounge.<\/p>
