Members of the local Frinton in Bloom gardening group were presented with a \u00a31,500 donation from Churchill Retirement Living, to help ensure the town continues to enjoy its place as one of the region\u2019s leading Anglia in Bloom award winners.<\/p>

Owners from Churchill\u2019s new Cooper Lodge development on Pole Barn Lane, near the heart of town, were there to see the cheque presentation on Friday 15th<\/sup> February. Through Frinton in Bloom\u2019s Community Partners, The Frinton and Walton Heritage Trust, the funds will help provide a new shed to enhance the facilities for their base at The Railway Cottage Garden, just a short distance from Cooper Lodge.<\/p>

Frinton In Bloom\u2019s David Foster said:<\/p>

On behalf of all our volunteers at Frinton in Bloom, I\u2019d like to say a big thank you to Churchill for this generous donation. Churchill\u2019s support demonstrates how business and the community can work together for mutual benefit and meaningful achievements, helping Frinton in Bloom to win a Gold Award and be named Best Small Town in the regional Anglia in Bloom competition.<\/p><\/blockquote>

Yvette Christy, Regional Marketing Manager for Churchill Retirement Living, added: \u201cIt was a pleasure to support Frinton in Bloom with this donation, to help them continue their excellent work making this such a beautiful place to live. Our Owners all enjoy an active and independent lifestyle here in Frinton-on-Sea, and we know that gardening is a great way to socialise and keep giving something back to the community. I\u2019m sure a lot of our Owners at Cooper Lodge will enjoy the displays once spring and summer arrive, and hopefully some of them will enjoy volunteering themselves.\u201d<\/p>
