When Myke and June Potter met with friends for lunch at the Noisy Lobster restaurant in Highcliffe, little did they know it would be the start of a whole new life for them on the sunny south coast. Nine weeks later they were collecting the keys for a brand new apartment at Churchill\u2019s Rothesay Lodge retirement development in the heart of the popular seaside town.<\/p>

\u201cWe used to come down from our old home in Chandler\u2019s Ford to meet our friends from Worth Matravers,\u201d recalls Myke.<\/p>

The Noisy Lobster at Avon Beach was a nice halfway meeting point for us both, and we\u2019d been there many times. One day, we were heading home after a nice lunch when a big sign for Churchill apartments caught my eye, and on the spur of the moment we decided to pop in and have a look. We\u2019d been talking about downsizing since we retired, but nothing in our local area really took our fancy. When we saw the new apartments at Rothesay Lodge, we just thought why not go for it?<\/p><\/blockquote>

With the help of Churchill\u2019s downsizing advice and moving services, the Potters had moved in within a couple of months with minimal fuss, and they\u2019re now enjoying the benefits of a new lifestyle by the sea. \u201cThe move itself went very smoothly,\u201d says Myke. \u201cThe Churchill team and Lisa our Lodge Manager were all very helpful, and the Home Exchange service, downsizing advice and free removals service took so much of the hassle away.\u201d<\/p>

Now the convenience of living in a low maintenance apartment means they can spend more time relaxing, socialising and doing the things they want to do with their retirement. \u201cWe love the sea air, and we just seem so busy!\u201d says June. \u201cIt\u2019s so nice to be able to go down to the Owners\u2019 Lounge for things like fish & chip nights and other social events, when we can fit them in. We\u2019ve even had Halloween and New Year\u2019s Eve parties which were great fun. Our new neighbours are all very friendly and sociable. We\u2019re much happier here by the sea, and we feel like we\u2019ve really fallen on our feet!\u201d<\/p>

The brand new apartments at Rothesay Lodge boast spacious rooms throughout, considerately designed with the over 60s in mind.
