Owners at Churchill Retirement Living\u2019s Hadley Lodge<\/strong><\/a> in Quinton have shown their charitable side by generously donating Christmas gifts to Birmingham City Mission, to support local families in need of a helping hand this Christmas, and also sending much-needed supplies to Romanian orphans.<\/p>

On Thursday 18th October, Jonathan Hackett from Birmingham City Mission visited Hadley Lodge to give the Owners a talk about the work of the mission within Birmingham and surrounding areas. It inspired the Owners to do something to help. The charity has since received a donation of over 50 toys, games and other gifts from the Owners, their families and friends, which will be distributed across the Birmingham area to those families in need.<\/p>

Then in November Hadley Lodge Owners rallied support once again for an initiative in support of Romanian orphans. Between them they gathered over 30 boxes of much-needed clothes, stationery, educational supplies and other gifts to send to those who desperately need it.<\/p>

Churchill\u2019s Regional Marketing Manager Bernadette Hennelly said:<\/p>

I\u2019d like to thank everyone who gave so generously to support these initiatives. It was wonderful to see the community at Hadley Lodge coming together to give something back for such excellent causes. It will help make a real difference for disadvantaged children in the local area this Christmas, as well as those further afield who are less fortunate than ourselves.<\/p><\/blockquote>

Hadley Lodge, which is located on Quinton Lane, is a collection of 43 one and two bedroom purpose built retirement apartments. The apartments boast spacious rooms throughout, which have been considerately designed with the over 60s in mind. The fully fitted, stylish kitchens include a built in fridge and freezer, hob and an oven, which are located at an easy-reach height. All of the properties benefit from easy-turn lever taps in both the kitchen and bathroom and illuminated light switches for added convenience. Owners also enjoy ultimate peace of mind from a fitted video entry system for the highest level of security and a 24 hour emergency call system.<\/p>
