Churchill Retirement Living\u2019s Betjeman Lodge<\/a> in Ludlow held a successful coffee morning event to raise over \u00a3600 for the League of Friends for Ludlow Community Hospital.<\/p>

Over 70 Owners, friends and visitors attended the event on Wednesday 5th December in the welcoming Owners\u2019 Lounge at Churchill\u2019s new development on Corve Street.<\/p>

Sue Garrett, a volunteer for Ludlow League of Friends, said:<\/p>

We had a fantastic charity coffee morning at Betjeman Lodge and raised a record amount of over \u00a3600 for the League of Friends. There was a huge attendance in spite of appalling weather, so I would like to say a big thank you to the Churchill team for all their help setting it up. We are already planning a possible future event which could take place outdoors in the Lodge\u2019s communal gardens next summer!<\/p><\/blockquote>

Bernadette Hennelly, Churchill\u2019s Regional Marketing Manager, added: \u201cWe were delighted to host this event to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause which directly benefits the local community. Every penny counts, which is why we were pleased to see so many people come along to dig deep and support the event. It was also an ideal opportunity for visitors to see our brand new development and the beautiful apartments and sociable lifestyle on offer here.\u201d<\/p>

Betjeman Lodge, which is located on Corve Street right in the heart of town, is a collection of 44 one and two bedroom purpose built retirement apartments. The apartments boast spacious rooms throughout, which have been considerately designed with the over 60s in mind. The fully fitted, stylish kitchens include a built in fridge and freezer, hob and an oven, which are located at an easy-reach height.
