Churchill Retirement Living has invited local school children to its Tregolls Lodge retirement development in Truro<\/strong><\/a> to help bury a time capsule on site.<\/p>

Pupils from Tregolls School\u2019s \u201cpupil parliament\u201d joined Owners from the Lodge to bury the time capsule. The children each brought with them a piece of their best work which included paintings, stories and maths, along with a Tregolls School t-shirt.<\/p>

Tregolls Lodge Owners also put in a copy of the West Briton newspaper, along with some Cornish tartan ribbon, a letter from the Queen to a couple in the Lodge who celebrated their diamond wedding in September, some photos of the Owners\u2019 ancestors, and a mini paper bible.<\/p>

Rhiannon Whitehouse, a teacher at Tregolls School, said: \u201cThis has been a fun project for the school to get involved in and a wonderful opportunity for the children to meet with people from the wider community in Truro and learn from them about the past. We\u2019re very grateful to Churchill Retirement Living for organising the visit - all of the pupils worked very hard on their contributions for the time capsule, which I\u2019m sure our descendants will have a lot of enjoyment looking through one day. We had great fun thinking about what people in the future will think when they dig it up!\u201d<\/p>
