For Owners Alan Savoury and Howard and Jean Embery, Cornwall\u2019s charm was enough to tempt them to sell their homes in Essex to move to the Lodge on St Clement\u2019s Hill in the centre of the city.<\/p>

89 year-old Alan moved to Tregolls Lodge from his home in Frinton-on-Sea after seeing the apartments advertised during a family holiday to Padstow. He said: \u201cI was on holiday with my daughter and son-in-law walking around Truro on a rainy day when I saw the advert and liked the look of the two-bedroom apartments. I was living in a two-bedroom bungalow in Frinton-on-Sea close to the seafront, but I kept contemplating a move to Truro when I got home so I went back and reserved. <\/p>

My daughters live in Bristol and London, so it\u2019s a great location for them to come and visit, especially because we have the Guest Suite for them to stay in. My one daughter is even considering moving to Cornwall herself now. I\u2019ve certainly settled in well here, and it\u2019s something I wish I\u2019d done sooner. There\u2019s a nice group of welcoming Owners living here and Cheryl the Lodge Manager is very helpful \u2013 she\u2019ll do anything for anyone.<\/p><\/blockquote>

64 year olds Howard and Jean Embery relocated from their three-bedroom bungalow in Benfleet, near Southend-on-Sea, to Tregolls Lodge after driving past the advertising boards on the way back from a house-viewing.<\/p>

Howard said: \u201cWe had already looked at downsizing and moving to Cornwall, but we were originally looking at two-bedroom bungalows. It was only when we were driving back from a viewing that we saw the development being built, and it certainly gave us food for thought.<\/p>

We got home and ordered a brochure, and instantly fell in love with one apartment in particular, the one we now live in! We actually viewed the apartments whilst on a cruise, the first stop was Falmouth, so we hopped on a train to Truro, found our dream apartment and put a deposit down there and then.<\/p><\/blockquote>
