Churchill Retirement Living has celebrated the grand opening of its new William Lodge in Malmesbury<\/strong><\/a>, where a number of apartments have already been reserved.<\/p>

Over 60 visitors attended the opening of the Lodge on Gloucester Road where they were given the opportunity to visit the sales centre and view the professionally designed show complex while being treated to sparkling wine and nibbles.<\/p>

Jo Ridehalgh, regional marketing executive at Churchill Retirement Living, said: \u201cWe were delighted with the turnout at the Grand Opening and it was great to meet potential purchasers who are looking to enjoy their retirement in this beautiful part of the country. Visitors had the opportunity to look around the superb show apartment, landscaped gardens and Owners\u2019 Lounge, which has its very own coffee bar.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cWilliam Lodge is proving extremely popular with a number of the apartments already sold. Our properties offer security, peace of mind and independent living, along with support and a sense of community. William Lodge offers a collection of 26 one and two bedroom privately owned retirement apartments and shared facilities, designed exclusively for the over 60s. Apartments boast spacious rooms throughout and an ideal combination of design and functionality. The fully fitted, stylish kitchens include a built in fridge and freezer, hob and an oven, which is located at an easy-reach height. All of the properties benefit from illuminated light switches for added convenience. Owners also enjoy ultimate peace of mind from a fitted camera entry system for the highest level of security and a 24 hour emergency call system.<\/p>

With less to worry about, Owners will have more time to do the things they enjoy, including taking advantage of the host of other benefits which will be on offer including having family or friends to stay in the development\u2019s well-appointed Guest Suite, and enjoying a chat with neighbours, or attending one of the many events, in the Owners\u2019 Lounge. William Lodge is named after William of Malmesbury, the foremost English historian of 13th<\/sup> century who was born in Wiltshire and spent his adult life as a monk at Malmesbury Abbey. The development is well located for the town\u2019s thriving high street with an array of independent retailers and a weekly farmers\u2019 and artisan market.<\/p>

The town\u2019s medieval streets with their old courtroom, shops and inns are dominated by the beautiful seventh-century abbey, one of England\u2019s most historic sites. Today the abbey holds regular services for the local community and is home to a bookshop and the Abbey Kitchen serving coffee and light snacks.
