A Churchill Retirement Living development in Portishead<\/strong><\/a>, which is managed by Millstream Management Services, has celebrated being awarded a Silver National Housing for Older People Award by the national housing charity for older people, Elderly Accommodation Counsel (EAC).<\/p>

Grange Lodge achieved the Silver award in the \u2018retirement housing 53 units and over\u2019 category, which was awarded for both the quality of the property, as well as the care provided by Millstream Management Services. To celebrate, Churchill Retirement Living arranged a special garden party for its Owners to toast the award win with sparkling wine and cake.<\/p>

More than 5,000 residents from 1,180 specialist housing schemes helped choose the award winners in a unique process overseen by the EAC, which culminated in an awards presentation at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham. <\/p>

The Owners scored their retirement scheme on a variety of statements relating to both the quality of the property, including location, build quality, space and design, and the support they receive, including staff attitudes, social activities and integration into the wider community.<\/p>

Our philosophy is to put our customers at the heart of everything we do, and we\u2019re incredibly proud to have been recognised for getting this right, in partnership with Churchill.<\/p>

\u201cSince the award is voted for by our Owners, staff, visitors and volunteers, it shows that everyone is very happy with the way the development is being run. Celebrating with not only our own employees but a number of retired owners from Grange Lodge was living proof of the real life relationships being created at our schemes.\u201d<\/p>
