Local MP Helen Grant visited Churchill Retirement Living\u2019s new King\u2019s Lodge development<\/strong><\/a> in Maidstone last week, which is currently under construction.<\/p>

Mrs Grant visited the development on King Street to unveil a special date plaque and was also given an exclusive tour of the site.<\/p>

Nick Petrov, contracts manager at Churchill Retirement Living, said: \u201cWe were delighted that Mrs Grant was able to join us to mark this occasion. Churchill\u2019s developments offer security, peace of mind and independent living for our Owners, along with community and support. Being in a manageable home with no maintenance can offer a new lease of life for people \u2013 ensuring they are close to amenities, and surrounded by a new community. We are delighted to be bringing our new development to Maidstone and have already seen lots of interest from local over 60s keen to find out more about the benefits of retirement living.\u201d<\/p>

Helen Grant MP, added: \u201cI was pleased to visit this site which is in a convenient location being so close to the town centre, for those of my constituents at retirement age. I look forward to visiting again once the project is completed to see the final product and hopefully meet some of the owners.\u201d<\/p>

The development comprises 53 privately owned, self-contained one and two bedroom apartments that are specially designed for the over 60s.<\/p>

The apartments include features such as a video-entry system, lift to all floors, a 24 hour care and support system, and a resident Lodge Manager. In addition, communal facilities include an Owners\u2019 Lounge, Guest Suite and landscaped gardens.<\/p>
