76 year old Diana Loehry, who moved to King Edgar Lodge from her home in Bransgore, is an advocate for keeping active in your later years and is a member of her local golf club.<\/p>

She said: \u201cI\u2019ve played golf for the last 30 years and try and get out on the course at least once a week. My club, Burley Golf Club, is close to the development and I play with my good friends, so we\u2019re not too competitive. I like to be out in the fresh air and it\u2019s a great way for me to exercise and keep active.<\/p>

\u201cI enjoy the independent lifestyle that is on offer at King Edgar Lodge, I still drive so I often venture out and about in town and further afield. I had been considering a move to a retirement development for a while when I woke up one morning and just thought to myself \u2013 I\u2019m 76 years old, what better time to move than now. I\u2019ve had a few health issues and my three-bedroom house was starting to feel too big for me. It was 120 years old with a huge conservatory and there was always something that needed doing - it was a big responsibility to maintain.<\/p>

I\u2019ve settled in fantastically; all of my old furniture fit into my new two-bedroom apartment and having a Lodge Manager on-site is comforting if ever I need any help. I also recommended the Lodge to a close friend of mine and he\u2019s ended up moving in too. It\u2019s good for your family to know that you\u2019re safe and secure too so I\u2019d say to anyone thinking about it to make the move now, while you\u2019ve still got your marbles!\u201d<\/p>
